A Trip To The Mountains With Your Little Ones
Blog By Chithra Prabhakaran | Aug 03 2018

A vacation to a nice little hill station is all it takes to bid adieu to your stress and woes. But what if you have a cute little toddler and you need to ensure that your baby is enjoying the trip too.

Vacationing with an infant is not all sunshine and rainbows. They cry while travelling, during a flight, or they might feel cranky when their normal routine is disrupted, when they don’t get their meals on time, or their diaper needs to be changed very often etc. But if you plan everything well in advance, the entire tour can be a thoroughly pleasant experience for you and everyone else accompanying you.

Trips to hilly and cold places might affect the baby if proper precautions are not taken. It’s better to get your little one properly vaccinated because infants are more vulnerable to germs than adults. As an extra measure, all the medicines should be packed in a first aid box as well. Don’t forget to pack your baby’s toys as well.

We must not forget to pack warm and comfortable clothing for the baby including woolen caps and comfortable socks and care should be taken to pack extra feeding bottles, diapers, wipes and baby food. An extra luggage is much better than running out of wipes or diapers mid-flight. Imagine the horror!

Most destinations have baby friendly hotels and rooms, where they provide cribs and baby food. After checking in, you can make the room cosy and baby friendly by unpacking his toys and spreading out the baby items on a table, so that you don’t waste time searching for a bottle when the baby is feeling hungry.

Packing a stroller is a good idea if you want to take the baby for a walk, and thereby, he/she can take his nap and you can enjoy the view too. It’s better not to disrupt a baby’s nap.

Finally, don’t forget your camera to capture your little one’s precious moments during the trip.

All you need is proper planning and a little bit of foresight to have a most memorable vacation in the hills and to make it pleasurable for your baby too.

Have a fun and stress-free vacation.
