In an initiative to address the problem of plastic pollution, McDonald’s in UK have begun to replace plastic straws with paper. It has also announced plans to add alternatives to plastic straws in its outlets all over the world. It has already begun testing plastic-free straws in Belgium and will be testing in select restaurants around the world.
