Kristin Kagetsu makes eco-friendly sanitary pads

In India, 84% of women lack access to sanitary pads. But, on average, every woman using sanitary pads contributes 60kg of pad waste in her lifetime, generating 100,000 tons of waste annually. Saathi pads, founded by Kristin Kagetsu, makes pads that are biodegradable. The pads are made from banana fibers, which are strong, abundant and absorbent.
