McDonald’s will phase out plastic straws across Australia from its restaurants by 2020, in the latest move in a sweeping global environmental campaign. The company will now opt for alternatives made out of biodegradable paper. McDonald’s Australia Director said that the company will work on finding viable alternatives to the regular plastic straws.
