A “funeral” was held by residents of 26 housing societies in Kandivali, Mumbai on 23rd June, for the environment’s enemy, plastic. Everyone, who participated had to give away all single-use plastic items like bags, spoons, etc. at a designated collection point in their society. The plastic collected in four trucks was then disposed by the BMC.
