Big companies like Amazon Inc and H&M are reported to have engaged in lobbying the Maharashtra Govt for easing plastic ban. The state imposed a ban on single use of plastic last week. The ban could raise the cost for companies as they depend on plastic for packaging. The ban is the first step towards PM’s plan to completely end the plastic by 2022.
