Photosynthesis in tall Amazonian forests of 30m is 3 times less sensitive to precipitation variability than in shorter of less than 20m. Tropical rainforest play a critical role in regulating global climate system, representing Earth’s largest terrestrial CO2 sink. Study was done by Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science.
