Sussanne Khan, daughter of film actor Sanjay Khan, is currently proving her mettle an ace interior designer and an entrepreneur. She has grown from just being the celebrity wife of the Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, whom she married in the year 2000, and later on, they got divorced after 14 years of marriage.
Sussanne Khan obtained an Associate Art Degree in Interior Design from Brooks College, Long Beach, California in the year 1995, and designed her first project in 1996.
The Charcoal Project, India's first and most unique design concept store was founded by Sussanne on Feb 26th, 2011. Her store started a new trend of curated interior design in India. Her belief is that luxury is about emotion and she says that design is her tool.
Sussanne once quoted during an interview that her friendship with Gauri Khan, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, who is also an interior designer, is going strong as ever. Their friendship did face turbulence when they collaborated on a project together and it did not go well.
She resides in Mumbai with her two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan.
Sussanne believes that through all journeys of life, we should stand tall and dare to dream the impossible. Long back, she was asked the most important thing in a home, and her reply was “The most important thing is a whole feeling of complete harmony.”
