The state forest department’s Pune division has devised a unique plan to save animals from road kill this summer. Waterholes, the lifeline for wild animals in the scorching heat will be set up on either side of highways so that the wild animals are not hit by speeding vehicles while searching for water, from one area to other crossing the roads.
