Indian music industry’s total revenue grew from Rs. 570.7 Cr. in 2016 to 725.6 Cr. in 2017, as per IFPI, a not-for-profit international organization representing 1300 record companies around the globe. One primary reason for this growth is increased digital music consumption due to cheaper data rate and greater smartphone penetration.
