Ryan Coogler has welcomed the idea of building a sequel around its female characters. A product of USC Film School, he was the youngest to direct a Marvel movie. The cinematographers of his movies Fruitvale station, Creed and Black Panther were all women. Kevin Fiege of Marvel said if there was a sequel to the film he wanted Coogler to direct it.
