Manisha Koirala was asked to play the role of Indira Gandhi 16 years ago in a film written by Kamleshwar. Though she had done the prep work for it, the movie was shelved. She recently expressed her desire to play biopic roles. Vidya Balan has bought rights of Sagarika Ghose’s Indira biopic and it remains to be seen if Manisha will be cast in it.
