Parakkadavu village, which is situated on the banks of Chalakkudy River in Kerala, has been in the news recently. The people of the village unanimously adapted organic farming. The idea was motivated by Parakkadavu Service Co-operative Bank. Apart from financing the initiative, the bank also has been supplying organic seeds, etc to the farmers.
