The monsoon rains, which claimed more than 300 lives in Kerala, has finally subsided and the focus is now on the rehabilitation of marooned people. The red alert has been lifted in most districts of the state. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an assistance of Rupees 500 crores and help is pouring in from all corners of India and abroad.
