Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has paid off the debt worth Rs 4.05 crore of 1398 farmers from UP, fulfilling the promise he made to them. The farmers who experienced his generosity were from the northern part of the state where Bachchan was born. Earlier he had helped 350 farmers from Maharashtra by paying off their debts.
