Over 55 National Award winners boycotted the 65th National Film Awards on being informed at the last minute that the president handing over the honour to only a select set of winners. They said that they felt dejected rather than honoured. But, 80-odd received the awards from Ministers Smriti and Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
