Yoga to reduce severity of depression

In a recent study by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) yoga helps in overcoming depression. The study found that yoga helps to reduce the severity of depression by increasing certain chemicals in the brain to regulate mood, appetite and digestion. Yoga also helps reduce the levels of cortisol-a stress hormone by changing lifestyle.
