Women policy makers may lessen corruption: Study

A study published in the Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organisation has found a link between women’s representation in politics and corruption. It suggests that women in policy making roles in countries that enjoy equality of status contribute to lower corruption. However, it also highlights that women remain under represented in politics.
