Women lose out on pay by doing more unpaid work

A report by ILO reveals that globally women spend more time than men on taking care of the elderly and children that impacts their earning and social standing. Women perform 76.2% of unpaid care that is three times more than what men do, reinforcing traditional gender roles of men being breadwinners and women being confined to taking care of family.
