Walnuts can help prevent Type-2 diabetes

A new study shows that people who eat walnuts are at lower risk of developing Type-2 diabetes than those who don’t eat nuts. Walnuts that are a rich source of recommended polyunsaturated fat also contain significant amount of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), protein and fiber. Eating walnuts resulted in 47 per cent lower prevalence of Type-2 diabetes.
