Volcanic sound and shape may help in sensing eruptions

Experts find that the volcanic crater in Ecuador may have changed to a deep cylindrical shape after a series of eruptions in 2015. It is also considered as the largest musical instrument on Earth. It suggests the shape and the infrasound of a crater may have a link to its eruptions and gives insight to the ongoing eruptions of Kilauea in Hawaii.
