Two ex-bishops convicted for polygamy in Canada

Two former bishops of Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were sentenced to house arrest for having multiple wives. The convictions were the first for polygamy in more than a century in Canada. Both were sentenced to 6 and 3 months of house arrests. Under Canadian law, the maximum penalty for polygamy is 5 years in jail.
