Twitter users spread false news during disasters

A study by University of Buffalo has found that active twitter users are likely to spread falsehoods during disasters. 86-91% of users spread false news either by liking or retweeting the original tweet. 1 to 9% was apprehensive about the accuracy of the original post. Less than 10% of those who spread false news deleted their inaccurate retweet.
