Tobacco use declines but not in sufficient speed: WHO

The tobacco consumption around the world, said WHO, had declined since 2000 but not in globally set standard pace. It said the reduction was insufficient to meet globally agreed targets aimed at protecting people from death, cardiovascular diseases and other NCDs. It shows that worldwide, 27% smoked tobacco in 2000 compared to 20% in 2016.
