These postage stamps pay tribute to Indian women

Throughout history, there have been postage stamps featuring and honouring Indian women. Mirabai was the first Indian woman to be featured on a postage stamp in 1952 and in 1964, Sarojini Naidu, the ‘Nightingale of India’. Mother Teresa, Aatukuri Molla, Kranti Trivedi, and Neerja Bhanot are contemporary women whose faces have appeared on stamps.
