A combined study by IIT-Indore and Guwahati says that over 60% districts in India have no capacity to withstand a drought like situation. The ecosystem resilience map prepared using NASA’s remote sensing system said that only 241 of the 634 districts, or 38%, were resilient to droughts. 68% of the area was unable to support vegetation in a drought.
