Sri Lanka’s reform stuck with torture used freely:UN report

Sri Lanka’s progress towards reconciliation and a fair judicial system had virtually ground to a halt, concludes a UN report on country’s human right situation. Impunity is still the rule for systemic use of torture, it said. None of the measures adopted to fulfill its transitional justice commitments are adequate to ensure real progress, it added.
