Smart plants to detect deadly radon and mold in homes

Scientists are genetically engineering house plants to sense harmful chemical from mold and other kinds of fungi. Inspired by smoke detectors and smart home monitors, these plants can alert house owners about their presence. The concept has already been tested on farm. The reaction of plants could be viewed by putting on light filtering goggles.
