Singapore plans fines on Uber, Grab for less competition

The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore has proposed to impose fines on ride hailing firms Uber and Grab. It said that the merger of two companies have reduced the competition in the market and wanted them to consider remedial measures. Uber sold its Southeast Asian market to Grab in exchange for a stake in the Singapore-based firm.
