PV Sindhu saw off Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi at the women’s semifinals of the World Championships. She fought a 55-minute match to get a total score of 21-16, 24-22 and emerge victorious over the Japanese. She feels that she needs to work hard for her final match with Carolina Marin.  Marin is an Olympic champion and former two-time gold medallist.
