People process bad news better when stressed

A new study has found that stress can help people process bad news better, although it may lead to exasperation. It was found that fire fighters were more vigilant as they keenly processed details of bad news in times of stress. This was found to be caused due to a rise in cortisol levels which formed a tunnel vision to focus on the present threat.
