No exit payment if there is no trade deal: UK to EU

The Brexit secretary, Dominic Raab has noted the Article 50 of withdrawal mechanism that there should be a trade deal between UK and EU. He said the UK could refuse to pay £39 billion exit bill to Brussels, if there was no trade deal. He said he was trying to convince that Theresa May’s Chequers agreement was “the best plan to get the best deal”.
