New Zealand has passed a bill that grants victims of the domestic violence 10 days paid leave to rehabilitate themselves. It is the world’s first legislation of its kind. The bill is the result of Green MP Jan Logie’s 7 years effort who worked in a women’s refuge before she became a politician. It has one of the highest rates of domestic violence.
