Moroccan child servants abused; treated worse than animals

Failure at school, grim poverty and ignorance of parents has contributed to about 80,000 Moroccan children employed as domestic help. The children lose their childhood in slavery and are subject to physical and verbal abuse without salary. Despite the law that permits only those above 18 years to be employed, kids as young as eight work as maids.
