Memory loss in COPD patients may improve with oxygen therapy

A study shows individuals suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are at a higher risk of dementia. It suggests that oxygen therapy may improve the cerebral oxygen delivery, blood flow and neurovascular function in such patients. It also reduces the risk of cerebral diseases like stroke, mild cognitive impairment and dementia.
