Maryland bans the sale of pet mill animals

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan signed a bill to ban the sale of domestic animals from “pet mills” in retail pet stores. The bill encourages pet shops to work with local shelters in order to adapt cat and dogs who need a loving home. This is a huge step to end animal cruelty and inhumane puppy mills, where there live in deplorable conditions.
