Law Panel seeks opinion on civil rights of Muslim woman

The Law Commission of India is reported have begun consultations with different Muslim stakeholders to formulate recommendations for a uniform civil code. Its questions were mainly focused on civil rights of woman and children in Islam. The panel is believed to have sought detailed legal opinions on daughters’ inheritance of property.
