A study found that inadequate sleep is a major health problem affecting at least 1 in 3 adults globally that might cost countries billions of dollars. The financial costs are associated with health care and informal care provided outside the healthcare sector. The productivity losses, non-medical work and vehicle accident costs are the other costs.
