L-G has no independent authority to take decisions, rules SC

The SC’s constitution bench categorically ruled that the Lieutenant Governor has no independent authority to take decisions. It reminded the LG that the elected Govt is answerable to people. It also stated that there is no need of L-G’s concurrence on all decisions. The SC was reading a verdict on the tussle between AAP and the Centre over power.
