Kerala plans to seek WHO help as Nipah virus spreads

In the wake of more deaths allegedly by the Nipah virus, the Kerala State is planning to seek help of the World Health Organisation. The visiting NCDC team termed the deaths as a “little unusual” and “a cause for concern.” A team of AIMS is expected to visit the region. It was transmitted from animals to humans and bats were the carriers.
