Kerala Floods: Red alert in 12 districts, 33 dams open

Red alert has been issued for at least 12 districts in Kerala due to the ongoing torrential rains. Death toll has risen to 44. So far, 33 dams have been opened in the state. The red alert has been issued in Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod, Malappuram, Palakkad, Idukki, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts.
