Israeli court fines radio broadcaster for excluding women

An ultra-orthodox Jewish radio station Kol Barama has been fined about $280,000 for not allowing women in its programme for over 2 years. An Israeli court observed that the broadcaster’s deliberate exclusion damages self-worth of women and prevents them from being influential in public. Ultra-orthodox-Judaism forbid men from listening to women sing.
