IAF set to induct more women as fighter pilots

The Indian Air force is set to induct women as fighter pilots after Flying Officer Avani Chaturvedi became the first Indian woman to fly a MiG-21 Bison jet alone, followed by colleague Bhavana Kanth. Though other countries do allow women as fighter pilots, only 6 Indian women have been inducted so far, to fly fighter jets on an experimental basis.
