Govt mandates Companies to disclose sexual harassment cases

The Centre has amended the Companies’ act mandating companies to disclose the sexual harassment cases in its annual report. The new rule also recommends penalty on defaulters. The Union Minister Maneka Gandhi said it was a major step to make the workplace safe for women in the private sector. It also includes the penal provisions for non-disclosure.
