A study finds Glaucoma, an eye disease, affecting nearly 70mn. worldwide, may be an autoimmune disease, a medical condition, where the immune system attacks the body’s own cells. Little is known of Glaucoma’s origin, which damages the retina and optic nerve and can lead to blindness. The body’s own T cells is responsible for the retina’s degeneration.
