Gender gap in mobile and internet usage in India

A study by an information and communications technology policy think tank LIRNEAsia revealed that India has the highest gender gap in mobile phone ownership and ranks among the lowest in women's access to the Internet. 71% urban population in India use mobile phones and 55% people use mobiles in rural areas. Men chat more on social media than women.
