French Queen's pearl pendant sold at hammer price of $32m

French queen Marie Antoinette’s jewellery, heirlooms which have not been seen for 200 years, has come up for sale at Sotheby’s auction in Geneva. Her drop-shaped natural pearl pendant sold for a hammer price of $32m, the highest for pearls. A set of pearl and diamond earrings, diamond brooch and diamond necklace are included in the collection.
