A new study reveals that prenatal exposure to folic acid fortification is associated with a reduced risk for symptoms of psychosis. Increased in utero folic acid exposure was associated with changes in later brain development. Thus, safe and affordable intervention can begin from the womb for schizophrenia, autism, etc. One-third women take folic acid.
