Exploring unconventional careers: Kolkata’s women drivers

Helped by NGOs Azad Foundation and Sakha Consulting Wings, three women drivers earn their living in Kolkata. Economic constraints drew Manushi Mridha, Shila Nandi and Anjali Haldar, in their 30’s, to become professional drivers. Over 50 underprivileged women between 18 and 35 are being trained in the profession and are employed by women as well.
