It is the 100th birth anniversary of Vinay Chandra Maudgalya, visionary musician, who democratised music in Delhi, by making the middle class take up classical music. Delhi was a cultural wasteland until he set up his school of classical music and took up as many people as possible as students, teaching them with warmth and openness.
